The more things change....

Changes, Its a life guarantee. Since my last post there have been some good changes and some
uncertain changes. First, Lindsay, as you all well know is pregnant. She has been having a
difficult time, but today her and Jay heard the baby's heart-beat!!! How cool. Despite constant
sickness and not feeling well, I do know that this is a change that will pass. It will get better and they will move onto the change of parent-hood, which we all know then changes your life everyday! I know being a grandma will be a change. But this is one of those changes that
is indeed a Blessing from God!! I am very happy for them! I'm excited, but nervous about being a real grandma. So, I'll need some guidance from all the other grandma's out there!

Bill's mom and dad have also required some changes. Bill's dad was in a nursing home-rehab unit and him and Bill's mom are not in the best of health. He is home now but needs alot of watching. He is having some dementia which puts a whole new spin on things. Bill's mom is not real mobile and not able to get around real well either. This requires more care on our part, since we live the closest to them. This requires grocery shopping, some meals during the week, laundry, taking Bill's dad for walks, getting prescriptions, taking Bill's dad to the bank, etc, since he isn't able to drive, some cleaning, sorting out all their medicine, doctor's visits (luckily Bill's sister does most of the doctor's visits for her dad) and checking on them daily. It has been a crazy situation with all the dynamics from all the family members. That's a WHOLE different blog!! I quit my part-time job to assist more in this. I honestly have to confess that this life-change does not come natural for me. The one thing I hate, (I put it on my list of weirdest things about me) is going to the grocery. And it seems I now go to the grocery almost daily for one reason or another, either to pick up prescriptions or get something. I love Bill's parents, but I'm just not all that close to them. So this is a change, spending more time with them and they depend on me, which feels weird. Bill is also feeling the change, of his parent's getting older and requiring care. He has been very helpful, but somewhat stressed too, but mostly dealing with the family dynamics rather than just helping his parents. Like I said, Whole Other Blog Subject!

I know once the baby is born that my priority- or lets say my heart, will be toward Lindsay, Jay and their baby. I know my baby-skills aren't that great either, just ask Lindsay, ha ha. She survived though and so will their baby. But I know that Bill's parents needs will also increase. I'm the only one not-working so there you go. Bill, Brenda and Steve do their part, but they all work. Like I said, CHANGES, and they all come at once.

But, on the positive side, I'm grateful to be in good health to be able to take care of those above-mentioned things, and to get to be a grandma too, and still able to kick around a little bit and enjoy my grandchild. I am starting to get very excited!! I just hope Lindsay starts feeling better soon. And she will!!!! And the little-one's heart is beating, beating, just waiting to be born and meet everyone!!

Well, this has met my blog pattern for blogging about every 3-4 months. We'll see what changes
in the next 3-4 months. But I guarantee you, something definitely will!!!

Change is the only thing in life that we can truly count on. Sometimes it is a good thing, sometimes it is not, and it seldom comes at a comvient time. All we can do is deal with it as best we can.
As for the Grandma thing, I'm sure that you will be an excellent grandma.

    In the words of mama....

Lifes about changing, nothing ever stays the same.

Lindsay will be fine. And just look at it this way. You are doing something for someone who needs you. Thanks all that matters.
